Connecting the Revolution Telescopic SS Post Driver: Floating Top Link Pin

How the Revolution Telescopic SS top link floats back and forward to meet the tractor when there's nobody there to help.

Pull the pin and the top link is free to float, so it finds its own position as you come on. Put the pin back wherever suits and it's locked there.

Hitching on your own, the link won't always sit where you need it first go. Let it float and it comes to you, instead of you reaching back to fiddle with the ram. We put a big handle on that pin because a pin that's had load on it binds, and a bare one is a bugger to get in and out.

Tip — the top link is also what you draft the tractor in with. Connect your oil hoses, walk to the valve bank, use the top link valve to draft the tractor into the post driver arms, then apply your pins.

It's the details that drive Revolution.
